Water Rites is a performative Mikva resulting in a temporary sculpture, inspired from large vessels like dams, ponds, and underwater caves. Clay-bodies from the artist’s old and new studio are merged into one vessel that serves as a temporary basin for the purpose of Mikva. Water, dyed red by clay washes the artist’s skin and prepares them for a year-long residency.
