These pieces were shown in the group show COALESCE; products of the paper-making and letterpress residencies offered by Stelo Arts, formerly C3 initiative. Maddy’s residency was at Pulp & Deckle in 2020 amid apocalyptic forest fires, self isolation and lack of motivation. Maddy was able to document their presence in the studio and at Camp Colton, a sister campus to Pulp & Deckle, thus exploring hidden relationships with people and places through re-using materials on site. The artist’s deepest gratitude goes out to the Stelo Arts & Culture Foundation’s continued support in pursuing alternative methods of learning and creating.
